About Us

Hummingbirds are small, brightly colored birds known for their ability to hover in midair and fly at very high speeds. They are found in the Americas, from Alaska and Canada to Tierra del Fuego at the southern tip of South America. There are over 340 species of hummingbirds, and they are the smallest birds in the world, with some species weighing as little as 2.5 grams. Hummingbirds are known for their distinctive, high-pitched humming sound, which is produced by the rapid beating of their wings. They are also known for their long, thin beaks, which they use to feed on nectar from flowers. In addition to nectar, hummingbirds also eat insects and spiders to supplement their diet and provide protein. Hummingbirds are important pollinators, as they help to spread pollen from flower to flower as they feed.
